Admissions Counselors
Admissions Counselors are located on GCU’s main campus in Phoenix, but also travel to assigned territories to work with school administrators and participate in college fairs. Their primary role is to counsel, enroll and retain qualified high school or transfer students for GCU’s ground campus degree programs through phone and in-person contact.
University Counselors
Online Admissions Counselors assist students seeking to continue their education online. Admissions counselors are based out of the GCE administration complex in Phoenix. This role is the first impression for prospective online students and fosters counselor-student relationships. Admissions counselors are adept at advising students as they begin their degree program to ensure long-term student success and retention.
University Admissions Counselors
University Admissions Counselors focus on the traditional ground campus admissions for GCU. This role is concentrated on student outreach and communication with high schools and community colleges within their assigned territory. Individuals who enjoy working with young adults or have experience in traditional education will likely be a great fit for this role.
Account Executives/University Development Counselors
Account Executives/University Development Counselors counsel students seeking to continue their education online by finding the GCU program that best fits their needs. Individuals who have strong customer-service skills, experience in business development and territory management and enjoy helping people learn about GCU's online programs will likely be a good fit for this position.
Student Service Counselors
Student Service Counselors advise students on a variety of subjects from financial aid to course selection and class-credit monitoring. The overall responsibility of the role is to ensure students are in good standing with GCU and on target to achieve their educational goals.
Qualifying Specialists
Qualifying Specialists help prospective students identify whether online educational opportunities at GCU are a fit for them and then direct them to a University Counselor who can provide more detailed information. This position is ideal for candidates in the earlier stages of their career that may not yet have a college degree.
