Job Description

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking an Online Events Coordinator(NFWS) to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's Marketing department.

Purpose within the Organization: 

The purpose of this position is to assist Marketing Event Planners with traditional enrollment initiatives through event logistics.

Students will have a large amount of responsibility and ownership organizing, facilitating, executing, and communicating wide variety of event logistics. This job is 90% in the office and 10% in the field, which may require personal transportation and/or the need to work non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Catering logistics

  • Budget tracking entries

  • General administrative support.

  • Build and maintain a variety of event materials and spreadsheets.

  • Staff Events

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

  • Computers will be provided
  • CRM, Workamajig for budgeting, Microsoft Suite, Online ordering systems and Concur will be used to complete job tasks

Qualifications: 

  • Extremely detail oriented, and strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, cope with changing priorities and complete projects with competing deadlines.

  • Experience working on multiple projects at once.

  • Ability to learn programs quickly (i.e. Excel, CRM, Visio, Prezi, etc.).

  • Must be able to commit to working the maximum allotted hours (20 hours a week) including Summers.

  • Flexible schedule, including evening and weekend availability; willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends. 

  • Please note: Students must be available to work in Arizona over summer to be considered for this position

Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.

  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.

  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
