Lopes Center - Lopes Pre-Evaluation Specialist (NFWS)

Position Summary/Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to provide prospective students with a preliminary estimate of the number of credits that may transfer if they enroll at GCU. Student workers will work closely with their team leads to complete transcript data entry, perform detailed evaluations based on acceptable transfer credit, and deliver result to counselors effectively.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

  • Handle incoming requests relating to inquiry about transfer of credits.
  • Process degree program pre-evaluations for potential transfer student with previous college-level credits.
  • Conduct pre-evaluation according to prescribed guidelines.
  • Provide pre-evaluation documents to appropriate Enrollment Counselor.
  • Meet customer service standard response time.
  • Perform evaluations with minimal errors.

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

Equipment such as a desktop computer, monitors, keyboard, and mouse are provided by our ITS team. Student workers are responsible for picking up equipment and dropping off after graduation. Student works are also responsible for providing a safe and comfortable desk space to set up all work equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Prior knowledge with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced typing skills preferred.
  • Basic writing and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work during school breaks preferred.
  • Work Hours: 15 minimum, 20 maximum during school year.

requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
