Student Worker - K12 Development - Social Media Assistant
Job Description
Position Summary: Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a Social Media Assistant Student Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's K12 Educational Development department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Preparing graphics pre and post events
- Data entry and/or wrap-up summaries in social form using Hootsuite.
- Creating, organizing, and editing flyers used for department or college initiatives.
- Appropriate use of camera equipment, including lenses, tripods, microphones, and interviewing hardware and software, YouTube Channel content creation
- Attending outreach events and representing the K12 Development department at events as needed
Equipment used and responsibility
- Laptop computer - Macintosh w/ iMovie and video editing software, Monday.com, and Canva.com
- Camera equipment, including lenses, tripods, microphones, and interviewing hardware and software
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work quickly under the pressure of deadlines.
- Ability to work with subjects, create content, and showcase the subject matter.
- Comfort working in a professional environment and interacting with adults and K-12 students.
- Access to a personal vehicle

Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
