Job Title: IT Operations - Network Operations Technician Intern (NFWS)
Position Summary/Purpose:
This position is to support the efforts and responsibilities of the Network Operations Team.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
Perform Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for a variety of systems and applications in a 24x7 Network Operations Center.
Analyze, triage and troubleshoot alarms received by internal and external monitoring and trending systems.?
Proactively monitor operating systems, databases, web servers and network devices.
Ensure escalations are handled in a professional, consistent, and relentless manner.
Manage incidents from beginning through final resolution, including customer notification.
Handle server-based hardware installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and replacement.
Apply Microsoft Operating System Security patches
Perform physical inventory and organization of datacenter equipment
Qualifications:
Experience in messaging systems (Exchange 2013, Exchange)
Familiar with trouble ticket system (ServiceDesk).
Must be able to adapt to new technologies and processes.
High level of attention to detail.
Self-motivated and self-sufficient with ability to work under minimal supervision.
A willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to provide support and maintenance for systems, and to ensure 24/7 support and troubleshooting.

Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor???s program or Master’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
