GCE’s Human Resources (HR) department is seeking Student Employment Recruiter to assess, strategize and partner with hiring leaders in our student recruitment process. The ideal candidate will be innovative, strategic and should enjoy working in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategy: Prepares and implements strategies using multiple techniques including event planning, tabling with students, engaging with student groups to speak about the program, in-person and virtual hiring events, email campaigns, social media while meeting pre-determined service level agreements for assigned clients.
  • Time Management: Utilizes applicant tracking system (Workday) for job postings, offers and screening candidates for qualifications/eligibility. In addition, managing multiple email inboxes replying to students, parents, hiring managers and department leaders across the organization. Recommends solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the recruiting life cycle - feedback welcome!
  • Collaboration: Partners with client organizations to identify hiring needs and provide a positive experience in meeting the organization’s hiring goals. Maintains open, frequent and proactive communication with business partners and human resources team members on recruiting timelines.
  • Competency: Understanding federal work study program and partnering with Office of Financial Aid to ensure legal compliance and accuracy of data.
  • Organization: Coordinates, facilitates and participates in job fairs and hiring events in support of recruiting strategies. Continual engagement with campus students groups and hiring leaders while maintaining administrative proficiency.

What You Will Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Marketing or Hospitality preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education/training may be substituted upon hiring manager’s approval.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Human Resources and/or Event Planning or related field. Exposure to recruitment techniques such as screening, sourcing, and interviewing. Workday experience a plus!
  • Results driven with a strong client focus, results driven and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated with the willingness and ability to work independently or a team environment.
  • Good judgment and sound decision making with the ability to problem solve and influence at all levels of the University.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
