We are looking for a dynamic Procurement Manager to ensure that purchasing and contracting functions comply with company regulations and policies. The role involves leading and managing staff responsible for executing all procurement activities to meet the company's needs. What you will do:
Day to day management of the procurement team.
Oversees purchasing processes (e.g. quality of products and services, analyzing bid responses, determining supplier of choice, negotiating the legal terms of agreements, placing orders, fulfillment of commodity shipments and investigating complaints for all products and services for commodities) to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Ensures all relationships with departments and its personnel and suppliers are managed by the entire procurement team to maintain excellent customer/client partnerships.
Assists the Procurement staff with investigating sensitive or unusual issues or complaints regarding suppliers; provides guidance and assistance to suppliers and internal requestors; reviews, analyzes, and interprets legal terms and conditions pertinent to procurement of goods and services.
Develops and implements procurement policies, systems and procedures while following best practice procurement standards and ensuring alignment with company policies.
Audits suppliers in key areas of quality, service, and value pricing through a variety of means. Engages with suppliers to provide feedback and to enhance the value relationship.
Establishes guidelines and operational processes to manage and review contracts and the administration of.
Interprets contract legal provisions and reviews contracts for accuracy and changes prior to execution.
Establishes priorities, assigns workloads and reviews the more difficult and complex assignments of staff; keeps Director apprised of obstacles that impacts customer service or deadlines.
Demonstrates superior seamless customer service, integrity, and commitment to innovation, efficiency and fiscally responsible activity.
Prepares reports as needed to show trends in purchasing, cost savings and other key metrics for management.
Monitors trends in suppliers, new commodities and contract administration and proposes/implements plans to respond to such trends.
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree required preferably in business administration or business-related field
Minimum three years’ relevant work experience as a procurement buyer.
Minimum two years in a leadership role in a procurement department.
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
