Job Description

Grand Canyon Education is seeking a K12 Professional Development Manager to support their Strategic Educational Alliances team. The K12 Professional Development Manager position is professional in nature and typically works independently, under the direction the K12 Professional Development Manager. Under direct supervision, the K12 Professional Development Manager will be responsible for meeting with K12 partners, developing professional development contracts, and updating existing professional development modules. The K12 Professional Development Manager will act as a representative for the Educational Development and Special Projects team and interacts regularly with external partners in both written and oral communications.


  • Partner, collaborate, and communicate with various internal and external contacts, or customers, to develop professional learning experiences for K12 partners which further the interests of the educational development and special projects team as well as Grand Canyon Education and its partners. 
  • Conduct professional development in both in-person and virtual settings to support the overall function of the educational development and special projects team. 
  • When directed, meet with both internal and external professional development partners. 
  • With the assistance of team members, manage the flow of activities and acts as liaison to all others involved in the professional development projects. 
  • Input and maintain data into various software applications and reports progress using designated processes and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Master’s degree in a related discipline (business, education, social science, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution.
  • 2 years’ teaching and/or educational administrator experience
  • An equivalent combination of directly related work experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be substituted upon supervisor’s approval.
  • Experience with creating and providing professional development in a K12 setting
  • Teaching or administrative experience in an elementary and/or junior high environment
    • The exceptional candidate will possess past administrative experience in a K12 setting
  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of
    • Social Emotional Learning strategies and supports such as restorative practices, restorative discipline, and other
    • Biblical integration in a Christian K12 setting
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background investigation.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
