K12 Development - NFWS K12 STEM Services Student Worker (NFWS)
Job Description
Position Summary/Purpose: Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a/an K12 STEM Services Student Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's K12 Educational Development department.
Primary Responsibilities:
Attending and assisting with STEM and STEAM-focused events on campus and occasionally off-campus at select West Valley schools
Content creation for events, including
Preparing graphics and assisting with reposting social media for K12 Development
Creating lessons for K12 students incorporating design or STEM subjects
Attending events on campus with STEM tools such as Snap Circuits, mini-robots, Cipher wheels (training is provided)
Data entry and/or wrap-up summaries
Creating, organizing, and editing flyers used for department or college initiatives
Appropriate use of camera equipment, including lenses, tripods, microphones, and interviewing hardware and software, YouTube Channel content creation
Attending outreach events and representing the K12 Development department at events as needed
Equipment used and responsibility:
Laptop computer - Macintosh w/ iMovie and video editing software, Monday.com, and Canva.com
Camera equipment, including lenses, tripods, microphones, and interviewing hardware and software
STEM kits provided by K12 Development as needed for the event
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work quickly under the pressure of deadlines.
Ability to work with subjects, create content, and showcase the subject matter.
Comfort working in a professional environment and interacting with adults and K-12 students.
Access to a personal vehicle preferred

Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
