Purpose Summary/Purpose:
Join GCE’s digital marketing team to create dynamic content for gcu.edu and gain valuable internship experience. As a student worker, you will help write, edit and manage GCU blogs, event pages and website content on https://www.gcu.edu/ to drive leads and support the efforts of the digital marketing team. This role offers valuable experience in content marketing, project management and editorial best practices, allowing you to refine your writing and editing skills in a professional setting.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
* Write, edit, optimize, organize and schedule new and existing blog content
* Write, edit and optimize event listings on events.gcu.edu
* Write, edit and optimize website content updates
* Project management
* Utilize our content management system (CMS) to post content on gcu.edu
* Act as the liaison between marketing and the colleges for all blog projects
* Additional duties as assigned
Equipment/Programs Used and Responsibility:
* Laptop
* Internet with high speed/strong bandwidth or work on GCU Campus
* Content management system (CMS)/ Drupal - for gcu.edu
* Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
* Workamajig and ClickUp (project management program)
* SEO web-based tools (Conductor)
* Getty/Canto Images (for blog posts)
Qualifications:
* Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills
* Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs
* Experience with CMS and project management programs preferred
* Knowledge of SEO preferred
* Students pursuing an education in marketing, web development, SEO, writing or project management preferred
* Must be able to work in a high-paced work environment and complete tasks and deadlines timely and accurately
* Interest in writing about academia, specifically GCU’s colleges and degree programs
* Must work in the Phoenix area year-round
Experience/Education:

* Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master’s program.
* Retain a 2.0 GPA as a bachelor’s-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master’s-level student.
* Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the university.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
Expected End Date: June 30, 2025
