Digital Marketing - Student Content Specialist (NFWS)
Join GCE’s digital marketing team to create dynamic content for gcu.edu and gain valuable internship experience. Student worker will help write, edit and manage GCU blogs, event pages and website content on gcu.edu to drive leads and support the efforts of the digital marketing team. Digital marketing student workers are able to experience project and time management, content marketing best practices, and apply editing and writing skills.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
Write, edit, optimize, organize and schedule new and existing blog content
Write, edit and optimize event listings on events.gcu.edu
Write, edit and optimize website content updates
Utilize our content management system (CMS) to post content on gcu.edu
Act as the liaison between marketing and the colleges for all blogs projects
Additional duties as assigned
Equipment/Programs Used and Responsibility:
Content management system (CMS)/ Drupal - for gcu.edu
Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
Workamajig (project management program)
SEO web-based tools
Getty Images (for blog posts)
Must work in Arizona year-round
Demonstrated strong writing and editing skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to details
Strong communication skills
Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs
Experience with CMS and project management programs preferred
Knowledge of SEO preferred
Students pursuing an education in marketing, web development, SEO, writing or project management preferred
Must be able to work in a high-paced work environment and complete tasks timely and accurately
Interest in writing about academia, specifically GCU’s colleges and degree programs

Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a bachelor’s-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master’s-level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the university.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Sitting: 4-5 hours a day
Standing: 1-2 hours a day
Walking: 1-2 hours a day
Fine Eye to Hand Coordination: Continuously
Work Environment: Remote work position. Work performed is primarily inside at a computer, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
