Grand Canyon Education’s Accounting Department is currently seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Manager to manage the work flow of the Accounts payable process.
What you will do:
Manages accounts payable invoice input process according to University policies, procedures and internal controls.
Ensures all expense reports are processed and paid in a timely and accurate manner.
Reviews coding and approval of invoices and expense reports.
Manages all aspects of the Corporate Card program.
Reconciles difficult accounts.
Processes accounts payable vendor checks.
Runs general ledger reports.
Performs month-end accounts payable journal entries.
Is responsible for vendor creation and maintenance.
Reviews and approves all supply orders for the department.
Ensures that the Accounts Payable department is in compliance with corporate policies, IRS and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
Directly supervises employees in the Accounting Department.
Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws to include interviewing; training; planning, assigning, and directing work; writing performance appraisals; handling disciplinary discussions as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
5 years Accounts Payable experience and at least 3 years’ supervisory experience.
Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
